Prototyping

Prototype needs to be fabricated when a design of product is completed. We have dedicated and competent prototyping partners to do the wok for you. Cachet also works closely with the prototyping partners and designers in the followed testing and evaluation process.

　

Source Assessment

Selecting the right supplier is a key step in a successful and quality sourcing project. We prioritize Source Assessment among all the work of a sourcing project.

Supplier candidates are selected through following steps based on comprehensive assessment criteria:

u	Conduct a desk research to identify a long list of potential suppliers
u	Assess and qualify the suitability of the long-listed suppliers against a pre-defined set of criteria, and identity 6-7 suppliers to form a short list of suppliers
u	Submit an Interim Report with findings, progress update upon completion of the above
u	Make visits to the short-listed suppliers and validate 3-4 potential supplier partners that would be able to meet the required quality standard
u	Obtain quotations and understand the costs of sourcing from each supplier
u	Understand the merits / risks of each sourcing option and make recommendations
u	Identify any export issues
u	Submit a final report with findings, recommendations and advices on sourcing strategy

We keep our customers updated on the progress and informed of each step we take through email, phone call or digital photo submission.

Cachet will accompany the customers’ representatives throughout the visits to the selected suppliers prior to the final decision on selection of the supplier.
　

Supplier Management

Cachet can act as a local presence of its customers, and perform all the functions of an internal IPO. Our Supplier Management Service covers from contract negotiation to production management and shipment handling. With authorization and instruction by the customer, Cachet carries out the following work to supervise and control the various production issues:

u	Contract negotiation on prices, quality, services, etc.
u	Liaison with the supplier to explain and solve problems arising from lacking or misinterpretation of information
u	Contract management regarding production progress, quality, inventory, etc.
u	In-process production inspection
u	Pre-shipping inspection
u	Obtaining quality certificates, testing reports or other documents as required by the Customer
u	Arrangement for shipping including coordination of shipping schedule, container loading oversight, preparation of shipping documents, etc.
u	Building long-term relationship with the supplier

Engineering Coordination

Clear and effective communication of information through engineering terms and technical languages is vital. This is especially important when a product is engineered, complex or custom-made.

Quality Assurance

As a technology-oriented team, Cachet provides a full range of Quality Assurance service to help the customers minimize the risk of receiving defective products.

We take following measures to ensure that good quality products are produced and delivered:

u          Supervision of supplier’s QA implementation
u          Cachet’s separate production inspections
u          Cachet’s pre-shipment inspection
u          Independent third party inspection *
u          Container Loading Oversight

In general, the following aspects of products are checked during the inspections:
u          Appearance (colours, labeling, general aspect)
u          Workmanship
u          Dimensions/tolerances
u          Performance and functionality
u          Packaging
u          Batch consistence

* Independent third party inspector is appointed only when the customer deems it necessary or the quality standard of the product itself requires such stringent inspection.
